A QUICK OVERVIEW
EXPERIENTIAL & INTENSIVE THERAPY
– This video elaborates about how we might be able to collaborate on your mental health journey through an 'experiential' and/or 'intensive' approach, as well as through focused talk therapy.
FIRST SESSION
INTAKE SESSION / CONSULTATION
– Meeting for an initial conversation is the best way to get started! In this session we’ll get to know each other, talk through what you’re looking for, discuss any questions, and make a plan if you’d like to move ahead.
– Intake or Consultation Session (80 minutes) – 1 Therapy Hour
INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
CONVERSATION-ORIENTED SESSIONS
– Whether we're focusing our work around talk therapy, preparing for experiential sessions, or having another kind of conversation, our time is always centered around your goals.
– Conversation-Oriented Sessions (50 minutes) – 1 Therapy Hour
– Extended Conversation Sessions (75 or 100 minutes) – 1.5 or 2 Therapy Hours
BRAINSPOTTING
– This technique is great for processing a wide range of presenting concerns! The more time spent with this technique, the more of an opportunity you will have to process memories, emotions, and various stuck points.
– Brainspotting Introduction (50 minutes) – 1 Therapy Hour
– Additional Brainspotting Sessions (50 minutes) – As Needed
– Extended Brainspotting Sessions (75 or 100 minutes) – As Needed
EMDR
– If you often find yourself stuck on a challenging memory or negative belief about yourself, EMDR is an excellent tool for directly targeting both. Like other techniques, this one also works best in a series, however, you are always encouraged to trust yourself about how many sessions you would like to participate in.
– EMDR Preparation – 1 Therapy Hour
– EMDR Introduction (100 minutes) – 2 Therapy Hours
– Additional EMDR Processing (100 minutes) – As Needed
EXPERIENTIAL & INTENSIVE SESSIONS
'SAMPLE PACK' INTENSIVE
– If you’re interested in trying Brainspotting and EMDR, firsthand experience is the best way to learn about them!
Because these techniques share similarities, several studies have compared them: Study 1, Study 2, Study 3, Study 4
After seeing how you respond to these techniques, individually, you can decide which one you would like to do more of, and we can make a plan together based on your preferences.
– Intake Session – 1 Therapy Hour
– Brainspotting – 1 Therapy Hour
– EMDR Preparation – 1 Therapy Hour
– EMDR (100 minutes) – 2 Therapy Hours
– Follow Up Integration / Conversation – 1 Therapy Hour
– Additional EMDR / Brainspotting / Conversation – As Needed
'DEEP DIVE' INTENSIVE: BRAINSPOTTING & EMDR
– If you’re wanting to do deep inner work through Brainspotting and EMDR, this could be a powerful combination!
This series of sessions is intended to create an opportunity to focus inward and process challenging memories, emotions, and any physical sensations that may be stuck in the body. I love these techniques because I’ve found them to be deeper and more effective than talk therapy on many occasions.
– Intake or Consultation Session (80 minutes) – 1 Therapy Hour
– Brainspotting (50 minutes) – 1 Therapy Hour
– EMDR Preparation – 1 Therapy Hour
– EMDR (100 minutes) – 2 Therapy Hours
– Integration / Talk Therapy – 1 Therapy Hour
– Brainspotting (75 minutes) – 1.5 Therapy Hours
– EMDR (100 minutes) – 2 Therapy Hours

– Integration / Talk Therapy (50 minutes) – 1 Therapy Hour
– Ongoing Brainspotting or EMDR – As Needed
ESTIMATED COST
'GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE'
– All healthcare providers are required to offer a ‘Good Faith Estimate’ of what clients might expect to pay for services rendered. Because I’m a mental health counselor, the primary cost is for our time together.
While it is extremely important to commit to the process of working on yourself, you are never required to attend any series of sessions and are encouraged to evaluate effectiveness as you proceed.
SESSION RATE & COST BREAKDOWN
– $150 per 1 Therapy Hour

– Sliding scale rates of $125 and $100 are also available if the full rate is not affordable

– To determine the overall cost, you would simply multiply the
hourly rate by the number of therapy hours you choose to engage in. Between approximately 6 and 12 therapy hours would allow for enough time to thoroughly explore these techniques together.
The Frequently Asked Questions page includes additional information regarding insurance.
