I'm basically the same person as a therapist and not a therapist, which is someone who's really into deep conversation, bad puns, and exploring what's bothering you and how to resolve it.

Before turning my attention to counseling, some passions included filmmaking, writing, and pet sitting. To stay creative I'm always tinkering with a range of projects and keeping up with live music, new songs, and art of all kinds. I bring this creativity into our work together, to address the stuck points in your life in a personalized and hopefully unique way.

As a heads up, I'm going to need to know your favorite movie before we get started!

  • University of Alabama at Birmingham, Masters in Counseling

  • American University, B.S. (Majors in Film & Business)

  • Licensed Professional Counselor

  • EMDR Trained, EMDR International Association

  • Brainspotting Trained, Brainspotting Trainings Incorporated

Through volunteering at the local Crisis Line and seven years of employment at an eating disorder treatment center, I've had the chance to gain extensive clinical experience before stepping into private practice in 2021 to specialize in experiential and alternative therapies.

Becoming well-versed in effective and innovative options for mental health is a personal passion that I'm always learning more about. I hope this background helps us explore different options to address whatever's weighing you down.

If helpful, I'm also happy to share about my own encounters with life to remind you that you're not alone.

I specialize in experiential and intensive therapy work, consultation about alternative and emerging therapies, and short-term talk therapy. If these options sounds right for you, I would love to get started!

To begin, we will meet to talk through your goals and questions, and discuss how we can work together.

Brainspotting and EMDR are two primary techniques we can utilize for intensive therapy. They are both versatile tools that can address many presenting concerns in a deep way.

I am also available for short-term talk therapy, which can be effective in exploring any conflicts you may be having or supporting our experiential sessions together. The short-term approach allows us the opportunity to remain focused on your goals over the course of approximately 1-12 sessions.

Our work together can supplement the work you are doing with a long-term primary therapist or can be done independently.

To address frequently asked questions, I've written several responses HERE that should answer many of them. After reading, please complete this SESSION REQUEST FORM, and I will get back to you soon!
