'BE CONSTRUCTIVE

WITH YOUR BLUES'

ABOUT

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

I'm basically the same person as a therapist and not a therapist, which is someone who's really into deep conversation, bad puns, and exploring what's bothering you and how to resolve it.

Before turning my attention to counseling, I made a feature film called 'Missing Pieces,' wrote a few books, and sold 400 pickles at a movie theater. To stay creative I'm always tinkering with a writing project and keeping up with live music, new songs, and art of all kinds. I bring this creativity into our work together, to address the stuck points in your life in a very personalized and hopefully unique way.

As a heads up, I'm going to need to know your favorite movie before we get started.

EXPERIENCE
SPECIALTIES

Through volunteering at the local Crisis Line and seven years of employment at an eating disorder treatment center, I've had the chance to work with a wide range of highly complex issues, with individuals, couples, and families. I've been formally and practically trained in a collection of techniques that I hope to seamlessly weave into our conversations as we work through whatever's weighing you down.

If helpful, I'm also happy to share about my own recovery from an eating disorder and other encounters with life to remind you that you're not alone.

  • Professional Consultation

Due to the high and increasing demand for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, psychedelic therapy consultation, and information about non-traditional therapies, I am continually reassessing how to best meet the need for these services as a single therapist, and one of the few practicing specialists in our state for psychedelic work.

If you are looking to enter therapy for the first time or have no interest in ketamine therapy, psychedelics, or non-traditional/non-talk therapies like Brainspotting or EMDR, I may not be the best fit at this time. If you are interested in these services, however, I would love to hear from you through the WAITLIST SURVEY!

I've written THIS LETTER to address frequently asked questions. After reading, please complete this WAITLIST & GENERAL INTEREST SURVEY if you would like to work together. At this time, I'm unable to respond to e-mails as personally or efficiently as I would like, but I do read all messages directed to KBartlettLPC@gmail.com.

FILM
PROJECT

To meet the needs of our community, expand access to psychedelic medicine, and hopefully make a positive impact, I'm embarking on an ambitious documentary undertaking!

PSYCHEDELICS IN ALABAMA

I published an article that shares how I became interested in psychedelic medicine for mental health, and a few things I've learned since then.
You can read it here.

FREE
EVENT

To share a lot of what I've discovered on
this exciting subject, I recorded an educational event for mental health providers and the general public.

You can check it out below.
