ABOUT ME

I'm basically the same person as a therapist and not a therapist, which is someone who's really into deep conversation, bad puns, and exploring what's bothering you and how to resolve it.

Before turning my attention to counseling, some passions included filmmaking, writing, and pet sitting. To stay creative I'm always tinkering with a range of projects and keeping up with live music, new songs, and art of all kinds. I bring this creativity into our work together, to address the stuck points in your life in a very personalized and hopefully unique way.

As a heads up, I'm going to need to know your favorite movie before we get started!

EXPERIENCE

Through volunteering at the local Crisis Line and seven years of employment at an eating disorder treatment center, I've had the chance to work with a variety of highly complex issues – with individuals, couples, and families – before stepping into private practice in 2021 to specialize in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR.

I'm beyond excited about each of these techniques, as I've seen tremendous results for a large spectrum of presenting concerns, and would love to meet with you to discuss the details of how they work and which one might best address whatever's weighing you down.

After becoming one of Alabama's first specialists in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, the overwhelming interest from our community required significant changes to my therapy practice to better meet the needs of our state.

Adapting to the high and increasing demand for intensive therapy work, as well as consultation about psychedelic-assisted therapies, I now exclusively specialize in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, EMDR, and consultation about alternative and emerging therapies.

If you are looking to enter therapy for the first time or have no interest in non-traditional/non-talk therapies like Brainspotting, EMDR, or Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, I may not be the best fit at this time.
